MyClyns, a New Standard of Personal Protection is announced at the EMS and Firehouse Central EXPO in Orlando, FL.

Orlando, FL. (October 10, 2007) - Union Springs Pharmaceuticals, LLC, announced today at the annual EMS EXPO that it is marketing a new revolutionary product, MyClynsTM. MyClyns is the first product of its kind to be made available to first responders who need to protect themselves in the field when exposed to harmful pathogens. The product, a small pen-sized non-aerosol spray device that can be kept in a pocket, is convenient and safe to use on the face and mucous membranes including the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin. In addition, MyClyns is a fast-acting skin protectant that kills over 99.99% of germs on contact as demonstrated in independent laboratory tests. MyClyns also provides immediate efficacy after one application (99% bacterial reduction) and passed the initial reduction criteria for the Health Care Personnel Handwash Test.

MyClyns contains a pH neutral, non-irritating solution of compounds that are similar to the chemicals produced by the human body in its defense against microorganisms. These compounds move through the pathogen's cells and deactivate essential enzymes and structures. MyClyns allows first responders to protect themselves immediately after exposure to harmful pathogens while still attending to their care recipients. Since users can protect themselves immediately, they lower their risk associated with prolonged exposure. Because of it's unique and convenient design, MyClyns can be used with only one hand.

MyClyns is intended for use by police, fire, military, emergency medical personnel, healthcare providers, homeland security personnel and others. Union Springs licensed worldwide rights to the Microcyn Technology used in MyClyns for single-use first responder applications from Oculus Innovative Sciences, Inc. (Petaluma, CA) in June of this year.
