T-5000 Series respirators have a P95 rating as certified by NIOSH and meet the requirements of 42 CFR 84. T-5000 respirators are coated with an . Our EPA approved antimicrobial provides built-in antimicrobial and antifungal activity and may reduce contact transfer of microorganisms.† T-5000 Series respirators offer a comfortable fit, peace of mind, as well as protection against particles. Its one-size-fits-all comfort and protection means it can be quickly used and worn comfortably for up to 12 hours.
Available in two designs - with (T-5000V) or without (T-5000) an exhalation valve - the respirators also provide protection against mists, splashes, and sprays of oil, blood and bodily fluids.
Adjustable straps and nose piece deliver a comfortable and secure fit. A full face foam seal also allows wearers of various face shapes and sizes to achieve a tighter fit and reduced potential air leakage.

Standard Precautions
- The application of Standard Precautions during patient care is determined by the nature of the HCW-patient interaction and the extent of anticipated blood, body fluid, or pathogen exposure.
- Assume that every person is potentially infected or colonized with an organism that could be transmitted in the healthcare setting
- Physical proximity of <3 feet has been associated with an increased risk for transmission of infections via the droplet route
- Use PPE to protect the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose and mouth during procedures and patient-care activities that are likely to generate splashes or sprays of blood, body fluids, secretions and excretions.

About NIOSH Certification
N95 disposable respirators and Safe Life® Disposable Respirators with Antimicrobial Protection are intended to protect the wearer from respiratory exposure to airborne particles, which may contain contaminants. In testing, N95 respirators must have a 95% success rate for preventing the penetration of particles.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services agency responsible for providing research, information, education, and training in the occupational health and safety fields. The following chart from the NIOSH website (www.cdc.gov/niosh/) describes the various disposable respirator designations. If the respirator is fluid resistant it is addressed separately on the package label or in the technical literature. The filtration rating designation category in the chart is determined by the NIOSH disposable respirator certification test which challenges the respirator filter with salt particles.

Note: “P” designations are the highest rating in that the respirator qualifies at the same filtration levels (95, 99, 100) as the N and R categories but has the added resistance to oil and fat particles. Oil and fat fluids, aerosols, vapors, lubricants, etc., degrade the electrostatic mechanism of microbial capture of respirators unless the respirator is P rated (R is intermediary).
